Last Friday, Jewel and her BFF rode the bus home from school for the first time. She had been nagging Mama Bird since last year to try it out. Mama Bird was finally worn down by the constant nagging and (the real reason) having to sit in the carpool lane at her school for 30 - 45 minutes each day with a 2 year old!! Since it went so well, she will get to ride the bus home every afternoon...we'll see how long the novelty lasts. Her only complaint was that it didn't have air conditioning. She is definitely related to me. :)
The other reason that made the day so great, was that she got to go to the Star Store for the first time!! They earn Star Points for good behavior throughout the week, and then go and spend their points at the Star Store on Fridays. Jewel had 17 Star Points and "bought" a clip-on compass (you heard me right...a clip-on compass!?) for 15 points. She wants to spend it all rather than save...just like her Mama!!
