My how fast six years flies by. It is hard to believe that six years ago today Jewel entered our lives. She spoiled Mama Bird with an easy pregnancy and quick delivery. I am so proud of her!! She is a helpful and caring sister, loyal friend, curious student, and loving daughter.
Unfortunately, Jewel caught the stomach bug going around kindergarten early Monday morning. Most of Monday was spent resting and regaining her strength. She was hoping to be better for Tuesday (today) to go on their field trip to the zoo...but that wasn't to be the case, as her fever returned.
Jewel makes the best out of every situation...even staying home sick on your birthday and missing a field trip to the zoo. She was feeling much better by lunch time, so Scooter took us all to GattiTown for lunch and games. Jewel was back to her old self by dinner and was able to eat a large slice of birthday cake.
Keep your fingers crossed that no one else gets the bug before her cooking party on Saturday!!
