Yesterday, I got an email from Jewel's teacher asking us to come to the monthly assembly at her school because Jewel was going to receive an award. So
Bubba and I went to the Stampede to see her accept the Principal's Award. This award is given to two students from each grade level each month.
It just so turned out that her
BFF was the other first grade winner. How cool is that??!!
This award is given for outstanding character and leadership. Maybe Mama Bird was wrong all these years...Jewel isn't bossy, she just has leadership potential. I'll take it!!
