Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving, we drove to Missouri to see Mama Bird's extended family. We had a nice, long 1o hour drive each way. The kids did really well. Don't know what we would have done without the DVD player, DS, and the Ipods!! BB and Uncle Donnie even came. It was a lot of people in a little farm house. We ate lots of yummy food and watched a ton of football.

As you can tell, Jewel was not too happy to get her picture taken. She loves to play office and school using Mama Bird's old roll top desk. She came around. Jewel's favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal was the cranberry sauce and the rolls.

Bubba was much happier than his sister. He loved the ham and macaroni and cheese. He really liked Nana's german chocolate bundt cake, even though he said he doesn't like coconut. :)

The kids had their pictures taken with Santa and were able to spend about 10 minutes with him. Jewel had a VERY long list, while Bubba wanted just three things: a monster truck, a Spiderman umbrella, and a fishing pole.

We made it safely home and are thankful that we don't have to make that long drive again any time soon.
