Happy holidays from Mama Bird and family. We enjoyed our two weeks off from school visiting with family, having playdates, and relaxing. Yaya and Pappy came to see us the week before Christmas, and Nana and Papa came from Missouri to spend the week with us. Mama Bird's kitchen was holiday central with cookies, cinnamon rolls, and yummy dips and appetizers that I only make during the holidays.
We capped off our vacation with a New Year's Eve trip to Lake Spring Cypress in East Texas to stay with our neighbor's and Jewel's BFF for the night. The kids had such a great time playing outside, setting off fireworks (which you can do in the country) and making s'mores. Bubba had a little collision between his face and the street, but was ok...and carried on with the fun.
