Yesterday was Bubba's party, so today was Jewel's turn. They got the party started REALLY early (9:30 am)!! The moms did such a great job planning. The hour flew by without any tears, tantrums, or screaming...and that's saying a lot. The kids were allowed to wear their pajamas today because the school reached their goal of bringing in over 400 gifts for needy families.
Jewel's class had a book exchange at the end of the party. Jewel got a Flat Stanley chapter book. She can't wait to read it at bedtime. Mama Bird offered to bring her home after the party, but Jewel wanted to stay to eat lunch in the classroom and watch a movie this afternoon (aka socialize with her friends).
Bubba and I were working the game/snack station. The kids had to remember the 12 objects on the cookie sheet to figure out which one I took off. They were pretty good even when I tried to get sneaky on them!! They did all this while eating pretzels and grapes. It was nice to see all of the kids that Jewel talks about at home. Bubba ended up playing with Mrs. Mcfee's Lego's and eating his goldfish the entire time. I almost forgot he was there!! Mama Bird had to reward him for his wonderful behavior, so we hit up Mickey D's on the way home. Bubba LOVES a Happy Meal!!
