Swimming Update

What a difference a few days make!! Jewel LOVES swimming...underwater! She can't wait to go and see Miss Swimming Teacher. She is swimming, turning over to float on her back and catch her breath, and then return swimming. Each day she makes it a little bit further. Wow!! I just hope that she will do it with me in the pool.

ON A DIFFERENT NOTE: This morning, Jewel and I went to Kindergarten Round-Up at the elementary school she will attend next year. She was beyond excited!! We got to meet the teachers and learn a little bit about the kinder curriculum. Jewel even got to look around one of the classrooms. I think we both wanted to go to kinder after seeing the classroom!! She was a little overwhelmed with all of the kids and wanted to know if they would all be in her class. :)

While waiting for the program to start, I ran into one of the girls I used to teach with in Lewisville. Her daughter is going to be in kinder with Jewel next year. That was fun! We'll have to do a few playdates this summer for the girls to get acquainted. We are signed up for PTO and purchased Jewel's school supplies. Jewel asked if she got to kinder tomorrow. Now we just have to wait...it's going to be a long summer!!
