My little man will be two next week...this blows my mind! He is no longer a baby. He speaks his mind and let's us know EXACTLY what he wants. Scooter took the front of his baby bed off the other day to make a toddler bed. He loves it!! Bubba sleeps with a little pillow and stays in his bed until we come and get him...which was one of my worries. We'll let him get used to the toddler bed and then transition to a big boy full bed. He doesn't know it, but he is getting the bedspread/skirt/sheets/curtains in preparation for this milestone.
The other night Jewel wanted to do arts and crafts. Well, if Jewel is doing something, then Bubba wants to too!! Scooter got into the action as well. :) Jewel got everything (and everyone) situated and then got busy. She loves to use the DOT markers. Bubba was trying out his crayons. I just wish he would try to stay on the paper and not color on my table!!

Jewel started soccer right before school started. Her first game was cancelled due to rain. Here she is getting ready to practice one night. Her team is the Lil Lightning. She has lots of fun. Jewel is more of a socializer than a soccer player.
We lost tooth #3 this past week. It has been DANGLING for weeks. Jewel also made her second trip to the dentist on Friday. We tried a new dentist this time. One of the girls on her soccer team's dad is a pediatric dentist. So we went to Dr. Tim. Jewel was not thrilled about going, but did a fantastic job. No cavities and she let them take x-rays without crying. She told me that we were not allowed to go to another dentist...she would ONLY go see Dr. Tim. That's pretty big praise from Jewel!! :) He did tell us that we will probably lose three more teeth by Halloween...great.
