Bubba's Party

Last Saturday, we had Bubba's 2nd bithday party at the house. Just the family this year. Mama Bird will brace herself for a family and friends party next year. :) Nana and Papa drove in from Granbury; Uncle K, Auntie A, and K came from College Station; and Yaya and Pappy from Waco. With the cold(er) weather we had been having, Mama Bird decided on chili and fritos pies to go with our football theme. However, the weather was hovering around 90 degrees the day of the party...oh well. It was still yummy. Lots of football on TV and kids running and screaming around the house. Gotta love it!!

Bubba enjoyed his homemade (from a box) cupcakes and (really homemade) frosting. Mama Bird got a little crafty and bought some piping bags and nozzles to make the cupcakes appear store-bought. They turned out pretty good...if I do say so myself. :) Nana made some yummy cake balls. They were de-lish!!

Bubba dug right in. Last year he was a little hesitant, but not this time. He has a sweet tooth.

The kiddie table. I wasn't sure that the kids would eat chili or frito pies, so I made Bubba's favorite: Kraft Mac and Cheese. What kid doesn't like the blue box??

Pappy and the kids having a tickle war.

Cousin K and Jewel helping Bubba check out his moving bulldozer. He was a little afraid of it. He is now getting used to it, but still runs to hide behind something when it starts to move!!
