March Madness Continues...

While Scooter and Bubba were in College Station and Waco this weekend, Jewel kept Mama Bird very busy. Saturday morning she had her first soccer game of the season. Mama Bird and all of the other mamas cheered the team to victory...couldn't say that last season. Jewel hung in there and had a few defensive plays in the fourth quarter. They play 3-on-3 for her age group. Her goal this season is to stay focused on the game (not talking on the sideline to her teammates), listening to her coach, and trying to get the ball. Jewel is on her way to earning her two American Girl outfits her daddy promised!! Whoot whoot! :)

Then we raced home to change clothes and head to the movie theater to see Alice in Wonderland. She had been begging to see it since she started seeing the commercials. It was ok for Mama Bird, but Jewel thought is was pretty good.

Jewel has been on me to set up some play dates for her...she is my social butterfly after all. So when Scooter and Jewel ran into one of her friends at the donut shop on Friday before school, I figured I would give her mama a call. Little did we know that they live just down our street!! Girls night out for Mama Bird...well, sort of! ;) We picked up Miss Maybell and took her to dinner and to Jewel's favorite frozen yogurt store (it is self-serve with 10 varieties and then all sorts of toppings). The girls came back to our house and played, and talked, and talked, and giggled... they had so much fun.

Mama Bird was pooped once she got her little birdie to bed. We both slept great!
