Aunt Marfa, Uncle Markie and Ash-a-ley graciously took us in. The kids had a ball and especially loved playing with Chloe. She was just the right size for them. I don't know who was more exhausted after their play times, Chloe or the kids.
On Saturday, we traveled to Oran to see my dad's side of the family. Jewel was so worried about everyone's name and if they would remember her. (Remember, it had been over a year since we last saw them.) She loves her cousins and made quite an impression.
Of course as soon as Bubba saw the swings and slide, that's where he wanted to be. He got some help from Papa. We had to do the swingset in spurts because it was in the upper 90's with high humidity that day. It's not supposed to be like that in MO, only in TX!! You know I hate to sweat, but that day we were outside alot and Mama Bird was sweating like crazy!! Yuck!
Bubba discovered that he can swing by himself if the swing is low enough. What a big boy!! He had only been in the little toddler swings at the park and didn't have to hold on. He loved this!
Then Uncle Paul took him out to swing with him...really high!! Bubba was so tired by this point, he almost fell asleep.
Jewel spent most of the day in and out of the pool. She had so much fun with everyone!! They went down the pool slide and had water gun fights. Jewel also got to ride on a mini (gas powered) 4-wheeler with Logie. I wish I had a picture. I will try and get one to post because it was precious. Logie was so careful and went slow, but as they rounded the corner of the house we could hear Jewel tell him, "Go faster!!"
Thanks Aunt Susie and everyone for a great day!!
